Joyous Life Works- June 11, 2008

Can you believe it's June already? I've been setting some appointments for the next couple of weeks and realizing that's MID-June! I'm really enjoying tending to the little vegetable garden Paul and I planted...seeing fresh veggies "bloom" seemingly overnight! And I'm rather anxiously awaiting those 16 peaches ripening to perfection! I find those precious moments I spend in the garden so important...they provide some of the "stolen" moments I can reconnect with the deeper part of myself...reflecting the sentiments of this week's article. As you read this newsletter, I pray that you can let Inner Wisdom show you ways in which you might reconnect. I'd love to hear some of the ways you find to connect with your inner guidance. May peace and joy guide your way.

Ever feel like your life's nearly out of control? You've got so many things on your plate that you can't see the plate anymore? You'd like to slow down, but you can see that even more is coming, so you'd better pick up the pace - forget any notions of slowing down. Eventually, what usually happens? Yep. God, the Universe, Life puts the brakes on for you! Something invariably happens to make sure you slow down, whether you like it or not. God gives us plenty of warning, asking us to pay attention. If we keep ignoring the warnings, they get "louder" and more insistent until we have no choice but to listen.

What would it be like if you could be kind enough to yourself to take the time you need - frequently - to check in with yourself and with your Inner Wisdom, Higher Power, God to sort out what is for your highest good?

Your real life partner
Developing the relationship with your Inner Wisdom can make life so much simpler. It's like have an inner Geiger counter to let you know if you're on track or not. Just like any relationship, though, it takes some nurturing and attention to develop the intimacy you want to have with this very special "life partner."

Want to have a clearer sense of direction in your life? Fed up with constantly feeling burdened and overwhelmed? Do yourself a huge favor and schedule some time to become reacquainted with your true life partner. Slow down and give this partner a chance to speak with you. It may take a few times to recognize his or her voice, especially if you haven't been listening for a while, but trust that when you begin to feel a greater sense of peace or joy, your partner is there, loving you.
